In the European Night of Museums the Art Gallery Ruse presented a project Stories inspired by Paintings, including exhibition and a bilingual collection of artistic stories from 17 writers from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Poland, Romania, Croatia, with reproductions of paintings from the gallery fund. The originals of the interpreted visual works are arranged in an exhibition that will see until the end of May. The presentation was attended by the authors Nely Piguleva, Yavor Tsanev, Aurel Maria Baros and Cristian Fulash. In this initiative were included friends who read to the audience particular stories from the collection: Daniela Encheva, Eslitsa Popova, Vanya Hinkova, Veledin Marinov, the director of Art Gallery Ruse Elena Velikova, curators and others. The combination of literature and fine arts was also joined by the music with the special participation of the Dynamic string trio.
The project Stories, Inspired by Paintings is an interdisciplinary initiative, in which the literature and the visual arts are interweaved in a complex relationships. A bilingual collection of artistic stories by 17 writers from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Poland, Romania and Croatia and reproductions of paintings from the fund of the Gallery will be presented at the Museum and Galleries Night. The originals of the interpreted visual works will be shown in an exhibition which will be open until the end of May.
